What is "Emoji"?

Rebecca Yates

Like an emotion but cuter
And if faces aren't quite right

There's a high heel

Or a stalk of wheat

I wanted to find a way
To record the moment

To call the sky my own
And sign my name across it

But by the time I looked up it was dark

And you had already gone to sleep

I stood in the wet moss in my underwear
And felt a (face of ecstasy) growing inside me

It switched to (comforted/smug)
When I got a text from my sister

Sup, bitch?
